Carole Bamford’s Daylesford business will launch a pub in the Cotswold market town of Charlbury this Autumn.

The Bell will be run along the same lines as group’s The Wild Rabbit gastropub and more recently launched The Fox at Oddington, which are also located in the Cotswolds.

The 50-cover pub will serve a selection of hearty pub classics with ingredient-led dishes that celebrate and hero the flavours of seasonal produce.

Ingredients will come from local suppliers and growers as well as from the farm at Daylesford Organic.

In addition to the pub, The Bell Barn is a 30-cover open-plan dining room designed with gatherings in mind.

To be used as a restaurant and available for private hire, the centrepiece of The Barn is a striking open wood-fired grill (pictured).

At just under an acre in size, the orchard garden is planted with apple trees with a stream running through it.

Twelve bedrooms sit above the pub and The Barn, including a two-bedroom family suite. Each bedroom combines 'comfort with exceptional attention to detail' drawing inspiration from the neighbouring ancient woodland.

When restoring the fabric of the building, Daylesford’s in-house team of architects looked to its history.

Original features have been sympathetically restored, and local and recycled materials were used for the construction to minimise impact on the environment. The bar forms the heart of the pub, crafted using ash from the Daylesford.
