The Table to open sister Battersea restaurant

Opening in Battersea at the end of the July, the new restaurant comes 17 years after the first The Table opened in Southwark.

It will serve a brunch menu that will include dishes such as smoked ham hock and chorizo hash, served with wilted spinach and topped with a fried free-range egg: a chicken burger with grilled buttermilk-marinated free-range chicken thigh, Southwark hot sauce, home-made mayonnaise, avocado, sliced tomato and gem lettuce; and brunch club, made with crispy streaky bacon, sausage, free-range scrambled eggs with maple syrup, served on either pancakes or gluten-free waffles.

The new location, on Battersea Rise, will also be open in the evenings serving a selection of small plates and cocktails.

"This launch is an exciting new chapter for The Table and we can’t wait to share our fantastic food and service with a brand new community,” says owner Venus Loudon.

“After 17 years of serving our loyal customers, we felt it was time to spread our wings and offer our brunch experience to a wider audience."

Like many hospitality businesses, the Table was heavily impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic with owner, Paul Appleton appointing Loudon as a director to help run the business. Loudon now co-owns the restaurant alongside Appleton.
