Flat Iron to open in Leeds
The group will open what will be its second non-London restaurant on Lands Lane, in the former Church Institute, in what will be a 110-cover restaurant.
As with all the group's other restaurants, the menu at the Leeds restaurant will centre on the group's signature flat iron steak - taken from the featherblade - alongside a rotating board of specials including Scottish bavette and sirloin.
Served alongside the steak will be sides, including beef dripping chips, creamed spinach, truffled macaroni and cheese and the much-loved crispy bone marrow garlic mash, with homemade soft serve ice cream the single dessert option.
Flat Iron was founded by Charlie Carroll in 2012 as a pop-up above a pub in East London. It now operates 12 restaurants across London on Beak Street and Denmark Street in Soho, Henrietta Street in Covent Garden, Curtain Road in Shoreditch, Caledonian Road in King's Cross, Tooley Street in London Bridge, Commercial Street in Spitalfields, The Cut in Waterloo, James Street in Marylebone, Westfield London in White City and Young Street in Kensington.
Its first out of London restaurant due to open this July in Cambridge with a site also due to open in Manchester.
Flat Iron working closely with British farmer Charles Ashbridge and has created its own herd of Flat Iron cattle in Thirsk, Yorkshire, with a focus on reviving and perfecting rare and native breeds.

"This is our first restaurant near our Flat Iron herd in Thirsk - we’ve been working with third generation beef farmer Charles Ashbridge since we opened in 2012 and are thrilled to be opening close to our precious herd."
Earlier this month it was announced that Carroll is joining forces with publican Oisin Rogers to open The Devonshire pub and restaurant in Soho.
