QSR brand Cornish Bakery has opened a large bakery in Cornwall ahead of a fresh wave of expansion that will see a further five sites launch.

The company has locations ‘in development’ in Canterbury, Salisbury, Harrogate, Norwich and Cheltenham as well as a number of other sites going through legals that are set to be announced soon.

Several bakeries including Gunwharf Quays, Gloucester Quays, Bath, York, Newquay, and Clark’s Village in Street have been refurbished and re-opened under the company’s recently-refreshed brand identity.

Founded in 1994 in Mevagissey, the company currently operates 54 locations.

“Truro has been incredible. We have found the right location in Cornwall’s capital city, however trading here has already far exceeded our wildest expectations. Alongside positive comments the bakery’s look and feel, we’re gaining glowing five-star reviews and consistent NPS scores,” says founder Steve Grocutt.

“Bakery is most definitely the new coffee shop, and we’re continuing to bring our unique experience, and our top-flight customer service, to places and spaces all over the country.”
