Top chefs to mentor at The Restaurant Show

Chefs including Tommy Banks, Sally Abe, Cyrus Todiwala, Gareth Ward and Philli Armitage-Mattin will be taking a mentoring role at this year’s The Restaurant Show, which is held at London Olympia, 2-4 October 2023.

Across the three days the chefs will take to the stage to deliver two-hour mentoring sessions, discussing their careers and motivations, sharing advice around the industry, showcasing their skills in the kitchen, and answering any burning questions from the chef audience.

This year’s show will also host a series of talks on the Restaurant Live stage throughout the three days, featuring some of the most influential people from across the industry.

Topics include the cost of living crisis, with a panel that includes Michael O’hare from The Man Behind The Curtain, Sandra Kellat UKHospitality, Robert Richardson from The Institute of Hospitality, and Nicola Gartenberg from Adam Handling Restaurant Group; and Sustainability: Reach for the (Green) Stars, with Crocadon’s Dan Cox, Will Devlin from The Small Holding, and Lara Boglione from Petersham Nurseries.

Restaurateur of the Year 2023 Samyukta Nair will be in conversation with Restaurant editor Stefan Chomka and there will also be a panel on the female leaders shaping the future featuring Ceri Gott from Hawksmoor, Caravan’s Laura Harper Hinton, and Cynthia Shanmugalingam from Rambutan.

New to this year is Bar & Drinks – a dedicated area showcasing a holistic view of beverages in hospitality. The zone will be bolstered by a dedicated Bar & Drinks Live theatre in partnership with The Morning Advertiser, wit key speakers to include Sacha Lord, the Night Time Economy Adviser for Greater Manchester, Inception Group’s Charlie Gilkes, Helen Charlesworth from Stonegate, Sarah Hayward from The Tom Kerridge Group, and the British Beer and Pub Association's Emma McClarkin.
