Richoux to relocate to Soho

Chefs Jamie Butler and Lewis Spencer will close their Richoux restaurant on London’s Piccadilly next week ahead of it relocating to an as-yet-undisclosed location in nearby Soho this winter.

The move is down to the imminent redevelopment of the building that is currently home to the bistro and patisserie.

The former Moor Hall chefs resurrected the 100-year-old Richoux brand in 2022 following the pandemic-related closure of all of its locations.

Their interpretation was well-received, scoring a positive review from The Observer critic Jay Rayner.

The pair say they will ‘remain true to Richoux’s heritage’ in its new incarnation with menus that 'continue to pay homage to the grand brasseries of Paris and their paired back classic dishes' whilst ‘focusing on impeccably sourced produce, prepared simply to let each ingredient sing’.

“We have loved every minute of our time on Piccadilly, and we are incredibly grateful to all our loyal patrons and regulars who have supported us,” says Butler.

“But Soho is calling, and we can’t wait to move into our incredible new restaurant – bringing everything that our customers love from our classic French onion soup to our patisserie counter.”

The last service at Richoux Piccadilly will be on 26 September, with further details for the Soho site set to be announced soon.
