The World’s 50 Best Restaurants 2024, sponsored by San Pellegrino and Acqua Panna, will be hosted in the US city of Las Vegas in June next year.

Marking the first time the awards have been held in the neon-lit city, it will see chefs, restaurateurs, media and culinary icons from across the globe come together for a programme of events and talks that will culminate in the unveiling of The World's 50 Best Restaurants 2024 list.

The announcement follows the 2023 awards, which were held earlier this summer in Valencia, Spain, and saw Virgilio Martinez and Pía León’s Central in Lima, Peru, named The World’s Best Restaurant.

An extensive event programme – backed by 50 Best’s host partner, the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority (LVCVA) – will culminate in the much-anticipated awards ceremony at Wynn Las Vegas on 5 June, when The World’s Best Restaurants 2024 ranking will be revealed.

“We are thrilled to head to the US as we announce Las Vegas as the location for The World’s 50 Best Restaurants 2024 awards ceremony next June, in collaboration with our host destination partner, LVCVA, and venue partner Wynn Las Vegas,” says William Drew, director of content for The World’s 50 Best Restaurants.

“No stranger to putting on some of the greatest shows on earth, we can think of no better partners to bring next year’s awards ceremony to life. We cannot wait to gather the global restaurant community together in the entertainment capital of the world to celebrate the best in gastronomy.”

Highlights for the programme in Las Vegas will include a series of key events including thought-leadership forum #50BestTalks; a 50 Best Signature Sessions series of collaborative dining events open to the public; a Chefs’ Feast showcasing the Las Vegas food and entertainment scene; and the awards ceremony and countdown itself.

“We are honoured that The World’s 50 Best Restaurants recognises Las Vegas as a global culinary destination and has selected us as the official host destination for the 2024 awards,” says Steve Hill, president/CEO of the LVCVA.

“Just like the city itself, the culinary landscape in Las Vegas is constantly evolving, and we are thrilled to showcase the breadth and depth to world-renowned chefs, restaurateurs, and culinary leaders from around the world.”

Launched in 2002, The World’s 50 Best Restaurants list is created from the votes of The World’s 50 Best Restaurants Academy, comprising over 1,000 international restaurant industry experts.

The academy is split into 26 separate regions around the world. Each region has its own voting panel of 40 members including a chairperson to head it up.
