More details have been revealed about Sam Harrison’s forthcoming restaurant in Brentford.

First announced in December 2022, Sam’s Waterside is being opened by Harrison and business partner Fanny Stocker on 21 November.

Located in the new Brentford Project development by Ballymore, and situated facing the River Brent, the restaurant and bar will echo the contemporary brasserie style of Sam’s Riverside in Hammersmith.

Head chef Jacob Keen Downs has created a menu that will feature some dishes served at Sam’s Riverside, including parmesan churros and crab on toast, as well as a selection of oysters and shellfish alongside a range of new dishes.

Highlights of the new dishes are crispy duck salad with watercress and persimmon; bass ceviche with avocado and chilli; chargrilled octopus with Dorset nduja and potato; Cornish monkfish, gurnard and mussel stew; and Chiswick House pumpkin and coconut masala with pomegranate and spiced samosa.

The bar will serve a short menu comprising oysters; a pork and shrimp burger; and the Waterside smash cheeseburger.

A wine list will comprise 55 international bins, starting from £28 a bottle.

The restaurant’s interior will have large windows with bi-folding doors that lead to an outdoor space that will open in the spring. Furnishings will include blush pink and ivory leather dining seats and teal velvet banquettes as well as bespoke art deco-inspired pendant lights.

It will also have an open kitchen and an arabascato marble topped central island bar for eating and drinks.

“Staying in west London for my businesses means that we have a great many loyal customers who love what we do – and appreciate having various options for dining out,” says Harrison.

“Sam’s Waterside extends our reach a bit further west, into new neighbourhoods – and we’re proud that the initial reaction to coming to Brentford has been so incredibly positive.

“The Brentford Project is regenerating a whole section along the riverfront – with many new flat complexes, food and retail businesses joining the area in the coming months.”
