The UK’s best restaurant has created a special menu that is available for delivery via Uber Eats.

Chef Gareth Ward has developed a 10-course menu to give Londoners a taste of what’s on offer at his two-Michelin starred Welsh restaurant Ynyshir, which is currently ranked number one on the list of the UK’s Top 100 Restaurants, and which serves a 30-course menu each night.

The special menu will be available for delivery for three nights only, on the 6th to 8th December, and will feature dishes such as a duck leg rillette sando with miso cured egg yolk; hot and sour crab soup served with a deep-fried bun; satay BBQ lobster claw and tail; BBQ black cod with N25 Caviar; chicken katsu with carrot slaw and sushi rice; and tiramisu.

The menu is priced at £200 for two people with the option to add a wine pairing for £50.

Ynyshir-food

“This is a mega exciting project, it’s quite different to what we usually do and something unique for us to pull off,” says Ward.

“Just a cool idea that has not been done before! We have created a flavour driven menu using the best ingredients, a load of filthy good food that you cannot get anywhere else. Here’s your chance to get signature Ynyshir dishes delivered right to your door in London.”

Ynyshir is known for its bold flavours and singular approach with the restaurant serving a 30-course tasting menu spans four- or five-hour hours and which is soundtracked by a live vinyl DJ with a glitterball in the dining room.

Based in Machynlleth in Wales, Ynyshir was named the UK’s Best Restaurant 2023 at the National Restaurant Awards for the second year in a row and routinely sees gourmands make the often long round trip to sample the restaurant’s food.

The tie-up is part of a new series launched by Uber Eats called Uber Eats Hosts, which aims to bring dishes from some of the world’s most renowned restaurants to people’s homes.

“At Uber Eats, we want to bring the nation’s most loved restaurants to your doorstep, and it doesn’t get much better than this - with Ynyshir further adding to the breadth and calibre of food already available to customers in London and across the UK,” says Matthew Price, general manager UK, Ireland and Northern Europe at Uber Eats.

The menu will be available to Uber One users exclusively on the first night (6 December), and then will be open to everyone for nights two and three.
