A luxurious Parisian-inspired restaurant and after-hours lounge and members club will open in St James’ early next year.

Located below street level on St James Street, Mistress will launch in early February and bring a large serving of opulence to the area.

It will serve a menu of ‘refined French cuisine for a modern Mayfair’ with signature dishes and reimagined classics that will include lobster rolls, oysters, fillet mignon, caviar, truffle, and ‘perfect’ French fries.

There will be a roaming champagne trolley alongside classic cocktails and what is described as an ‘outstanding’ wine list.

The opulent interior will be deep red and pink by design with deep plush velvet tub seating, chandeliers, a mirrored ceiling and dark tables that has been inspired by the clandestine tunnels where ‘ladies of the night were smuggled at the behest of the male members of White’s private club’.

The restaurant will open Tuesday to Saturday with entry after 11pm strictly for members only.
