London-based restaurateur Ellen Chew will launch the first permanent site under her Singaporean-focused Singapulah concept early next year on Shaftesbury Avenue.

Spread across four floors and holding 100-cover site, Singapulah will ‘pay homage’ to the diverse culinary landscape of Singapore, and will showcase a rotating roster of Singaporean food manufacturers and partner brands through its menu and via a retail channel.

The restaurant’s launch is supported by Enterprise Singapore, the Singapore government agency championing enterprise development, and the Singapore Brand Office, with promotional support from Singapore Tourism Board and Singapore Global Network.

“Singapulah is a completely fresh restaurant concept,” says Chew, who first established Singapulah as a pop up in Soho back in 2019.

“What sets Singapulah apart is the authenticity; the ingredients, the brands, the decor, the methods of cooking and the expertise of the chef all bring the essence of Singapore to London.

“Singapulah will be a vibrant restaurant in the heart of London that celebrates the best of Singaporean food, culture and design.”

Chew, who hails from Singapore, is the founder of the Chew On This restaurant group.

She is best know as the owner of Chinatown’s Malaysian and Singaporean restaurant Rasa Sayang, but also runs Mrs Chew's Chinese Kitchen in Birmingham and London; and Shan Shui, which has outposts in Bicester Village and Heathrow Airport.
