Japanese and Peruvian restaurant La Muña will open its first London location this spring.

Located within L’oscar London, the turn-of-the-century boutique hotel, the restaurant is described as bringing ‘vibrant Japanese and loud Peruvian flavours, provenance and local ingredients’ under the direction of executive chef Arturas Kondratjevas.

Menu items will include a choice of crudo, caliente and ceviche dishes including beef steak teriyaki and truffle sauce; red tuna ceviche with sesame; sea bass with black truffle; and black cod marinated in saikyo miso.

The restaurant will be located in the baroque domed octagonal Chapel of L’oscar London that was constructed between 1901 and 1903 and once served as the headquarters of The Baptist Church.

The interior will feature a depiction of the 10 trees of life encircling the dome, as described in the Bible, with the upper floor of La Muña to be adorned with green foliage, hanging lanterns and fairy lights. Wallpaper designed by Iksel Decorative Arts, will depict a Xanadu landscape and panoramas which draw inspiration from traditional Chinese wallpaper.

Owned by Michel Reybier Hospitality, La Muña is already present in the La Réserve Zurich, Crans Ambassador, and AlpenGold Hotels

“Following the success of La Muña at our other Michel Reybier Hospitality hotels, we are delighted to bring the restaurant to London and introduce it to both locals and hotel guests,” says Kondratjevas.
