Spaghetti House owner to launch ‘next gen’ Italian restaurant format
Billed as a ‘next gen’ neighbourhood Italian restaurant, A Braccetto (which roughly translates as arm-in-arm) will offer classic regional dishes including ‘fresh and artisan’ pastas, ‘lightweight’ Romana pizzas and seasonal specials.
“We’ve been working on this exciting ‘neighbourhood’ concept for some time. London is constantly changing, and we wanted to develop a new offer for the younger generations of people living, working or visiting London,” says Lavval Group CEO Isabel Montes de Oca.
“Our success, over the last 60+ years, has been built on being consistently wholehearted and welcoming - and that’s one thing that won’t be changing at A Braccetto.”
“Our family was part of the revolution that transformed London into becoming arguably the most exciting food city in the world”, adds Luigi Lavarini - whose father, Simone, opened the group’s first restaurant in 1955. “Back then, people simply fell in love with Italian food and culture - they still do today”.
Last month, Spaghetti House reported financial results for the year to 26 March 2023, with turnover rising from the previous year’s £5.3m to £9.8m.
The chain reported operating profit of £351,141, compared to an operating loss of £364,833 the previous year.
Founded in 1955, the company currently has eight Spaghetti House restaurants, the majority of which are in prime central London locations.
