Endo Kazutoshi 11-seater flagship will close for a refurbishment mid next month before reopening in late summer with an ‘even more immersive and personal omakase experience’.

Kazutoshi says the changes will mark a new chapter for the Michelin-starred White City restaurant, which launched in 2019.

“I want to make Rotunda more intimate, like you are coming into my home, a place where you can feel relaxed, and enjoy the food that comes from my family, heart and culture,’ he says.

The circa four month refurbishment project will allow Kazutoshi to focus on his two upcoming projects for Creative Restaurant Group where he holds the role of culinary director.

NIJU is set to launch on the former 20 Berkeley Street in Mayfair at the end of March 2024 and Kioku by Endo at The OWO is slated to launch towards the end of April.

The refurb of the West London restaurant - which is located atop the The Helios within the former BBC Television Centre complex - is being carried out by influential Japanese architect Kengo Kuma, who designed the original space.

The new design concept will foster an increased sense of intimacy and introduce a new bar area, hot kitchen for Kazutoshi to prepare dishes in front of our guests with diners ‘being made to feel part of the experience and welcomed into the chef’s workspace’.

Endo at the Rotunda is currently ranked 38 on Restaurant’s list of the top 100 places to eat in the UK.
