The Clink Charity – the hospitality and restaurant training scheme for prisoners operating across the UK – reduces re-offending rates among male ex-offenders by a “statistically significant” 41 per cent, a new report has shown.
The Clink Charity, which currently operates training restaurants at Cymru and High Down prisons, has announced plans to open its third site, at HMP Brixton.
As The Clink Charity prepares to open its second prison restaurant, this time on the grounds of HMP Cardiff, chief executive Chris Moore has revealed the charity has plans to open two restaurants every year until 2016 with Greater London next on the horizon.
