London Brasseries, the company set up founder Andrew Bonnell, former Managing Director of Tootsies, is to open its third site in as many months, at the Gunwharf Quays' Land Securities £200m mixed-use development on Portsmouth Harbour waterfront.

The first floor unit should open in April and will trade as the Waterside Brasserie with over 100 covers inside and 68 outside offering an all-day dining menu.

The brasserie will sit alongside 20 restaurants and bars as well as over 90 designer retail outlets.

Bonnell set up London Brasseries in November 2006 and opened The Brasserie in Wandsworth, followed by Abaco at Bluewater, a tapas restaurant.

Davis Coffer Lyons, which acted for Gunwharf Quays, said "The shopping centre catering market is undergoing something of a revolution, with customers wanting quality dining offers that enhance their overall shopping experience rather than simply providing a snack. London Brasseries is raising the game in this market."
