Prep gains Green certification for palm oils

Caterers using Prep’s GreenPalm certified range of cooking oils from AAK foodservice will as of January be helping to support the sustainable production of palm oil.

Palm oil is increasingly used as a frying oil in the UK and around the world, and as such the demand for the product has grown rapidly and has contributed to environmental damage in areas such as Malaysia and Indonesia.

Prep now supports the GreenPalm certification programme to promote the sustainable production of palm oil worldwide. All funds raised go directly to sustainable producers, which in turn encourages other growers to follow suit.

The Prep oils carrying the GreenPalm certification, include Prep Palm 12.5kg, Prep ZT Long Life Oil, and Prep Ultra.
