Wimbledon in 3D at Park Plaza and BBQ masterclasses at Pearl restaurant

Seafood barbecue masterclass​

Chef Jun Tanaka will be holding Summer Seafood Barbecue Masterclasses outside Pearl, the bar and restaurant at Renaissance London Chancery Court Hotel in High Holborn this summer. There will be an outdoor masterclass showcasing Tanaka’s alternatives to the usual barbecue staples with the chance for guests to question him on his methods. The afternoons are aimed at both chefs and food fans alike. They will take place on Sunday afternoons on 10, 31 July and 7 August. Tickets are £45 and include champagne and a barbecue lunch.

Wimbledon in 3D​

Park Plaza Victoria London's bar JB's will be showing the Wimbledon finals on a 3D 47" screen on 2 and 3 July after successfully broadcasting the 2010/11 Premiership on the same screen. The bar has 100 pairs of 3D glasses for guests and visitors to use to view the matches. General manager Ramesh Costa said: “Guests and visitors loved the experience. With the end of the football season, it’s fantastic to be able to continue the 3D sporting action this summer and bring the Wimbledon matches to life in a brand new way."

Foraged supper clubs at Kew​

Peyton and Byrne will be holding Foraged Supper Clubs on selected Friday nights between June and August in their pop-up restaurant at The Orangery in Kew Gardens. Ingredients will be foraged from the surrounding gardens by forager Miles Irving who will work with the Orangery's head chef Nigel Smith and Peyton and Byrne executive chef Simon Duff to prepare a 'decadent feast' for guests. Tickets are £55 and include live jazz music.

Summer discounts at Design Hotels​
