Living Ventures has announced it is to open a new bar and kitchen in Manchester which will be connected to its modern Australian restaurant Australasia.

The Grand Pacific Bar & Garden will open on 1 July and will offer a cocktail-focused drinks menu from its Spinningfields location, directly behind the Armani Store in the North West city.

A 'secluded' staircase will connect Australasia to the main interior of Grand Pacific which will feature neoclassical interiors and a long bar designed to recreate a Pacific Rim beach hideaway.

A spokesperson for the Manchester-based restaurant and bar operator said: "Grand Pacific Bar and Garden will be a refreshing retreat from the bustle of Deansgate during the summer months and a perfect destination for more intimate and informal get-togethers, whatever the season.

"In keeping with the easy-going vibe, the bar will serve delicately prepared sushi and other light bites from Australasia’s menu."
