The Ledbury has once again topped a list of London’s best 100 restaurants based on dining awards and ratings given during the year.

The two Michelin-star restaurant, led by head chef Brett Graham, was number one on the All In One Ultimate Restaurant List 2014 for the third year running. Philip Howard and Nigel Platts-Martin's The Square stole second place, overtaking Marcus Wareing’s Marcus at the Berkeley, which slipped down to third.

The All In One Ultimate Restaurant List is compiled by AllInLondon.co.uk, which uses a mathematical algorithm to index a range of restaurant awards, guides and reviews - including Restaurant Magazine's National Restaurant Awards - and then rank London eateries by their performance over the past 12 months.

The Ledbury - which scored a hat trick at the National Restaurant Awards in 2010, 2011 and 2012, enjoyed continued success in 2014, making it into the top ten on the World’s 50 Best Restaurants list and taking third place at the National Restaurant Awards last month.

Graham put the performance of his Notting Hill eatery, which has received critical acclaim, down to consistency and excellent service.

“Consistency is important to us and this award shows what a great job our team is doing here 7 days a week,” he said.

“I like to think we try our best to make people’s experience a relaxed one and not over-service them at the table."

Other noticeable performers on the All In One Ultimate Restaurant List 2014 included Launceston Place, which jumped 30 places to position 37 under the guidance of head chef Tim Allen, who took over in 2012.

Murano by Angela Hartnett climbed 21 places with to number 12, while Restaurant Story and HKK entered the list tied at number 23.

The All in London team predicted that Ametsa With Arzak Instruction, Fera at Claridge’s, Chiltern Firehouse, Typing Room, City Social, Lyle’s, Pavilion, Merchant’s Tavern and this year’s National Restaurant of the Year, Gymkhana, would score highly on next year’s list.
