JKS Restaurants has launched an online store that brings together its three top-end Indian brands to offer restaurant-prepared meal boxes, alcoholic drinks and pantry items nationwide.

Launched today, Ambassador General Store is starting out with a selection of family feast meal boxes and ready-to-eat dishes from Gymkhana, Trishna and Brigadiers.

The meal boxes ‘will reflect each restaurant’s signature style’ while a cerebrate area of the website called Daru Shop will offer wines, beers and ready-to-drink cocktails.

All produce is prepared in the respective restaurant kitchen, with detailed assembly instructions provided in print format. Customers will be able to pre-order from the Ambassador General Store from today (12 October) with the first deliveries arriving at front-doors on 23 October.

Costing £140, The Gymkhana Experience box feeds four and includes poppadoms and chutneys; gol guppas, jal jeera; kid goat methi keema, salli, pao; tandoori masala lamb chops; wild muntjac biryani, pomegranate and mint raita; dal maharani; makai saag; and garlic naans.

An extra £60 will get customers the Gymkhana Club Experience Box, which adds in four gin and tonics and bottle of wine.

Speaking to BigHospitality earlier this year, JKS Restaurant CEO said Jyotin Sethi that hot food delivery and meal kits would become a core part of its business.

“If we look at the shape of the restaurant world going forward post COVID-19 having a delivery offering wherever possible is going to be a crucial aspect of making the financial returns we all need. I see this as being a permanent part of what we do,” says Sethi, who runs JKS Restaurants with his siblings Karam and Sunaina.
