Korean style corn dog restaurant Bunsik is doubling up in the capital with the opening of a second venue in Embankment.

The restaurant group launched its first site on Charing Cross last year to great success having become a social media hit in a similar vein to nearby bubble waffle concept Bubblewrap a few years previously.

Bunsik serves a concise menu of corndogs including an original hotdog, an octo legs hotdog, a potato hotdog and a potato mozzarella one, as well as rice cakes with a Korean spicy sauce and toppings such as hotdog, cheddar cheese, chicken mandu and a boiled egg.

It also recently introduced a yubu bap – fried and marinated tofu stuffed with seasonal rice and a selection of toppings – to its menu.

Bunsik will open on the former Herman Ze German site on Villiers Street. No opening date has been set yet, but announcing the news on Instagram the restaurant says it will be opening ‘very soon’.
