Kim Ratcharoen returns to Restaurant Gordon Ramsay as head chef
Ratcharoen previously worked in the business for several years, rising through the ranks to senior sous chef before leaving to take a personal sabbatical.
In the last few months, as well as taking some much-needed time out with friends and family, she has travelled around the UK, cooking at private dining experiences and visiting some of the UK’s most prestigious restaurants to gain further insight into the country's fine-dining scene.
She also featured on series 16 of the BBC’s Great British Menu, representing the London and South East region.
“I’m delighted to return to Restaurant Gordon Ramsay,” says Ratcharoen, who will work under Restaurant Gordon Ramsay chef patron Matt Abé.
“I feel honoured and humbled that Gordon and Matt have shown so much trust in me and I’m truly excited to take on the role as head chef.”
Restaurant Gordon Ramsay opened in 1998, and has held three Michelin stars since 2001.
“I’m so happy to have Kim back at Restaurant Gordon Ramsay, she is an incredible chef who is ambitious and hugely talented,” says Ramsay.
“She brings a wonderful focus and energy into the kitchen, and we are lucky to have her leading the brigade under the powerful guidance of chef patron, Matt Abé, at our beautiful Chelsea restaurant.”
