London and Brighton-based vegan fast-food restaurant The Vurger Co. will make its Northern debut later this month in Manchester.

The 50-cover site at the Northern Quarter’s Transmission House development is being billed as the group’s largest and most ambitious project to date.

It will be The Vurger Co.’s fourth restaurant, joining a site in central Brighton and sites in Shoreditch and Canary Wharf.

Menu items will include the New York Melt (Beyond Meat patty topped with double vegan cheese, gherkins, tomato, and house made burger sauce); Buffalo Vurger (crispy ‘chicken’ patty dipped in buffalo hot sauce, topped with vegan mozzarella, gherkins, crispy onions, and house made baconnaise); and Hunny ‘Chicken’ (house-made vegan honey, drizzled over The Vurger Co’s chicken patty, with honey mustard aioli, gherkins, and fresh brioche).

“This is a really exciting time for us at The Vurger Co. We’ve worked hard to establish ourselves in London and Brighton and can’t wait to be part of the thriving restaurant & food scene in Manchester, one of our favourite cities,” says co-founder Rachel Hugh.

Customers can expect amazing plant-based food, packed with texture and flavour that’s fun & delicious.”

Founded by Hugh and Neil Potts, The Vurger Co. opened its first permanent site in Shoreditch in 2018 following a series of pop-ups and festival appearances.
