Ramen restaurant group Kanada-Ya will open its their fifth London site at the end of the month.

Kanada-Ya Ealing will launch on 30 September and will be located on New Broadway within the Filmworks development. The new opening will be the brand ’s first site within a purpose-built development.

The 1,571sq ft restaurant will have space for 60 covers with 14 additional spaces outside, and will feature an open plan kitchen. It will open for dine-in and take-away.

The group, which specalises in tonkotsu ramen, had initially planned to open the restaurant by the end of last year.

“Filmworks will bring a range of high-quality and diverse operators to Ealing, with the retention of the art-deco façade and reintroduction of the cinema proving to be a huge draw. We’re excited to be part of that and building relationships with both the Filmworks residents and neighbouring operators,” says Aaron Burgess-Smith, director at Kanada-Ya UK.

“Ealing is well placed to accommodate an authentic and respected ramen restaurant and we’re looking forward to serving the sizeable Japanese community in and around the area, many of whom have supported Kanada-Ya since our opening.”

Kanada-Ya first opened its doors in London in Covent Garden in 2014, although it was founded in Japan in 2009 by Kanada Kazuhiro. Its other restaurants in the capital are located in Islington, Soho, and Carnaby.
