Chef Max de Nahlik, co-founder of London pop-up restaurant Oxalis, is to open pub and dining room The Holland later this month.

Opening on Earl’s Court Road in Kensington on 14 September, The Hollland will occupy the site that was formerly The Princess Victoria.
The refurbished space comprises a ground-floor pub and an upstairs dining room that seats 30 people with a seasonal, British-led menu served across both floors.
Launch dishes will include spiced brown crab on toast; tomatoes, peach, chilli, pangrattato, and smoked tofu; pork collar steak with greengage chutney, kohlrabi and beetroot; hake, piperade and fennel salad; and almond tart with double cream.
It will offer a mostly-European winelist, which has been put together by wine consultant Matthew Cocks. The pub will be run by general manager Richard Banks.
The pub’s interior has been designed by cabinet-maker Tortie Hoare, with the ground floor mixing sage green-painted walls and exposed brick with an emerald-tiled bar. The upstairs dining room, meanwhile, features sand-coloured walls and eclectic reclaimed furniture, including church pews.
