Brothers Fin and Lorcan Spiteri are opening a floating cocktail bar housed in a converted barge moored on the Regent’s Canal.

Called Bruno’s, the canal-side bar will bob alongside Caravel, the floating restaurant that the duo opened in March this year. It is named after Fin’s pet Staffordshire bull terrier cross Bruno and will be moored between Hoxton and Islington.

The bar will form a long lounge with velvet armchairs with two marble tables seating 12 towards its stern. The interior has been designed by the brothers themselves, taking inspiration from Fin’s favourite drinking haunts in London and New York.

The drinks menu will feature a range of classic and new cocktails, accompanied by an selection of ‘nostalgic’ bar snacks that will include upmarket lunchables served in stainless steel, portioned lunch trays featuring saucisson, soppressata and cheeses.

“I have always felt at home in bars, having spent years working at some of the best establishments in London and it has been a long since been a dream of Lorcan and I to open our own,” says Fin

“We have loved every minute of Caravel, and so when we were given the opportunity to open something just next door, we jumped at it. Bruno’s will be a place that doesn’t take itself too seriously, but will be a stylish spot to spend an evening drinking some banging drinks”.

Bruno’s opens on 11 November.
