New York's Black Tap 'craft' burgers targets London
Founded by New York entrepreneur Chris Barish in 2015 in New York's Soho district, the brand has launched further sites in New York, Las Vegas, Dubai, Singapore and Geneva.
Barish has teamed up with Old Northampton Group hospitality company founder Sunny Kooner to bring his concept to London.
The pair have appointed Marcel Khan as a consultant, who played a key role in rolling out Five Guys in the UK and has been involved in a number of other international rollouts in recent years.
The company is looking initially for three prime sites in central London of between 3,000 sq ft and 4,000 sq ft. It hopes to open the first location by summer 2023.
Billed as a 'new take on a classic NYC burger joint', Black Tap in known for its pumping playlist, craft beers and 'over the top' milkshakes.
Burgers include The All-American Burger (prime burger, american cheese, special sauce); The Texan Burger (prime burger, bacon, aged cheddar, crispy onion ring, sweet baby rays bbq, mayo); and The Greg Norman (1/2 pound wagyu burger, house buttermilk-dill, blue cheese, rocket).
