Cocktail bar Thirteen and its underground sibling dial8 will open in boutique soho hotel Chateau Denmark this month.

Operated by CAW Ventures’ Carrie Wicks and Alan Petrie, the new venues have been created to take a re-imagined perspective on the traditional hotel bar, Thirteen and dial8 are spread over two floors and will be located at 1-3 Denmark Street.

Thirteen will serve an extensive range of spirits from rare mezcals to Scotch whisky as well as cocktails such as Rock Punch, made with Real McCoy 5, rhubarb, lime and ginger beer, and Ball & Chain, a champagne fusion with 30&40 eau de vie, St. Germain, and Veuve Clicquot.

Accessed via its own Flitcroft Street entrance, dial8 will be a more intimate location suited to after parties and private events.

Both bars will serve a food menu that ‘champions both the familiar and the novel’, with small plates inspired by world flavours.

Interiors have been designed by London-based Grapes Design, with Thirteen described as ‘bold and energetic’ with a teal-coloured grand conversation chair at its centre (pictured below) and dial8 having a more intimate and discreet feel (main image).

Chateau Denmark opened in Soho in April last year and is set across 16 buildings, with 55 Session Rooms and apartments featuring designs that reflect each building’s history as well as ‘the rebellious spirit of Soho’.
