Selina takes restaurant brand HOWM to Margate
Located in front of Margate’s seafront, HOWM Margate offers all-day dining of British and European classics. Pronounced 'home', the brand already operates in the US as well as Latin America, Europe and Israel.
It is being joined in the hotel by XIBALBA, a LATAM-inspired beer garden that will serve a range of corn tortilla tacos and ceviche as well as agave and rum cocktails.
“Following the opening of Selina Margate at the end of 2022, we’re incredibly excited to be expanding the hotel’s offering ahead of what will be our busiest season yet with a new on-site restaurant and beer garden," says Moran Etedgi, global executive chef at Selina.
"After a successful trial of our restaurant concept, HOWM, in North and Latin America, Europe and Israel, we’re now delighted to be able to introduce the brand to the UK – the third F&B venue Selina has opened this month – as well as our XIBALBA brand.
"Through these new openings we will be able to offer the local community and tourists alike a friendly local hangout where they can enjoy a wide range of delicious food and beverages right in the heart of one of the UK’s most popular seaside destinations.”
Selina hotel group targets Millennial and Gen Z travellers and currently operates seven hotels in the UK in London, Manchester, Liverpool, Brighton, Birmingham and Margate.
