Monorail sushi brand CHŪŌ to arrive in London next month

A sushi restaurant that features a monorail system that delivers orders to diners will launch in Shoreditch next month.

The owners of CHŪŌ are keen that its monorail system - claimed to be the first of its kind in Europe - is not confused with sushi conveyor belts with all orders made fresh to order and delivered directly to guests.

CHŪŌ says that automating aspects of its service will allow the business to reinvest operational savings into ingredient quality to the extent that ‘the quality of food on offer will be what diners would expect for double the price in other parts of London’.

The restaurant will have a mix of counter-style seating and group booths and will offer around 40 different sushi and izakaya-style dishes.

CHŪŌ will also incorporate daytime grab and go offering CHŪŌ go. Delivery will be available shortly after opening.

Further details for the Paul Street venture are thin on the ground but more details and imagery is expected soon.
