Neighbourhood pizza restaurant group Four Hundred Rabbits will open its latest site, in Battersea Rise, next month.

The 55-cover restaurant will be the group’s sixth restaurant, joining its locations Crystal Palace, Nunhead, West Norwood, Herne Hill, and Elephant & Castle.

Its menu will feature sourdough pizzas that will include The Feta - mozzarella, courgette, feta, salsa verde and toasted pine nuts; The Chorizo - Brindisa Iberico chorizo, pickled red chillies, fresh basil, tomato and mozzarella; and The Rhubarb - chipotle rolled goats cheese, piquillo peppers, tomato, mozzarella and rhubarb.

It will also serve homemade seasonal gelato and sorbets, frozen margaritas and fruit slushies.

The name Four Hundred Rabbits references the Aztec's worshipping of a goddess of alcohol and a god that discovered fermentation. According to Aztec folklore these two got it together one night and created many offspring known as the 400 rabbit gods.
