MAMS In Knightsbridge closes

Popular Knightsbridge street food restaurant MAMS has closed citing high running costs as the reason.

The Arabic street food restaurant, located on Brompton Road, was known for its shawarma warps and manaeesh - thin homemade Middle Eastern flatbreads similar to pizza with topping such as minced lamb, Lebanese cheese and pesto and mozzarella - as well as its healthy bowls and shakes.

Writing on Instagram the restaurant says: “We would like to take this opportunity to say thank you to all the MAMS Team and Regular Customers that came and ate, drank and chilled with us.

“As busy as MAMS was the running costs were just to high and unsustainable with increasing suppliers and utility costs. We hope you enjoyed our food, juices, shakes and coffee because we certainly enjoyed servicing/feeding you guys.

“It’s still not quite sunk in yet… To all our fellow peeps in hospitality (especially the independents) we feel you and know how tough it is. Peace out.”
