Turtle Bay to cross the border to Scotland for the first time
The restaurant will open on Glasgow St Vincent Street later this year and will be the group’s 52nd restaurant since the brand was established in 2010.
It will have space for 219 internal covers plus an outdoor dining area for 38 covers and will serve its all-day BBQ Jerk Pit menu featuring the likes of half jerk chicken; rum BBQ ribs; curry goat; and Kingston fried chicken.

“A milestone moment for us, we can’t wait to bring a taste of the Caribbean to Glasgow and look forward to introducing our unique soulful flavours and reggae good times to the Scottish market.”
In July, Turtle Bay reported record sales of £90.1m for the year ended 2 April 2023, up 5.5% on the prior year, marking the group’s second record sales year, with like-for-like growth of 32.6% vs 2019 and 1.1% vs the year ended April 2022.
Adjusted EBITDA was £10.2m, down from £17.8m in 2022, due to the latter aided by government support packages
The group reached its 50th site milestone in May this year with the opening of a restaurant in Camden, which was also its first outpost in north London.
The expansion into Scotland follows Turtle Bay’s growth in England, where it currently operates 49 restaurants, and in Wales, where it has sites in Swansea and Cardiff.
