Miss Millie’s to open in Newquay as part of plans to 'become nationally recognised'
Fried chicken brand Miss Millie’s will launch the restaurant in partnership with forecourt operator Motor Fuel Group (MFG). It will open alongside MFG’s new petrol station and Budgens shop on the roundabout between the A392 and Trevemper road.
The new restaurant will showcase Miss Millie’s new brand, instore design and menu with items to include chicken burgers, wraps, hot wings, tenders, churros and waffles.
It follows a franchise partnership agreement between the two companies earlier this year and forms part of the brand’s expansion plans to become nationally recognised over the coming years.
MFG will have four Miss Millie’s forecourt stores open by the end of 2023 with more planned for 2024.
“Following on from the success of our first couple of forecourt stores in Wellington and Eastbourne with MFG. We are delighted to be partnering with MFG again and opening this new store,” says Carl Traill, managing director at Miss Millie's.
“We can’t wait to bring the Miss Millie’s brand to the residents of Newquay and create up to 25 new job opportunities in the area.”
Earlier this year the group opened is first restaurant outside of its south west heartland, in Eastbourne.
Miss Millie's was launched by Harry Latham in 1988 following his time at KFC, which he helped bring to the UK and was a former managing director. The brand is named after KFC founder and Latham’s friend Colonel Sanders’ daughter Mildred
The family owned and ran the group up until it was bought by new management in 2019. It currently has 13 branches across the UK in Bristol, Weston Super Mare, Southampton, Yate, Eastbourne and Wellington.
