London-centric burger brand Amigos is looking for franchise partners to help it reach its goal of reaching a total of 100 UK sites within the next five years.

Founded in Acton in 2011 by Kasim Akhter and Waqas Siddique Amigos currently has 19 locations in London and a further site in Slough.

The pair have a further eight sites planned for Birmingham and say their expansion is being driven by ‘increased demand from franchisees’ with ‘potential new locations being discussed for cities up and down the country’.

Billed by Akhter and Siddique as the most successful independent burger brand in the UK, Amigos has a menu that majors on burgers, grilled and fried chicken alongside vegan and breakfast options.

The price point is comparable to the likes of Wendy’s and Popeyes with single burgers priced at around £6.

“We’re incredibly proud of our brand’s growth over the years to become one of London’s most loved independent food outlets,” says a spokesperson for Amigos.

“Now our goal is to showcase what’s made us so popular to the rest of the UK. We hope this expansion will allow Amigos to be spoken about in the same conversation as the biggest names in the burger industry.”
