Max and Noel Venning to bring their Three Sheets bar to Soho

Set for a March launch on Soho’s Manette Street, Three Sheets, Soho is billed as a ‘cosy and modern iteration’ of Three Sheets, Dalston, which launched in 2016 and is currently ranked seventh on the Top 50 Cocktail Bars list​​ and has also appeared on the World’s 50 Best Bars list. 

Three Sheets, Soho will be open all-day; from morning coffee and pastries, through to lunch and into aperitif,s dinner and nightcaps.

The drinks menu will be ‘largely unique’ to Soho whilst still mirroring the Three Sheets signature style, which is defined as ‘clean and elegant serves made thoughtfully with deceptive simplicity’. 

Drinks will include “French 75” (gin, clarified lemon, moscato, orange flower and verjus); Mango Ice Tea (pickled mango, cloud and lapsang teas and rum); and Scottish Coffee (buttered Scotch, salted coffee and shortbread cream). 

There will be a ‘concise and confident’ wine list that will have a focus on Champagne with around six being served by the glass. 

To accompany the wines and cocktails, ex-Lyle’s chef and butcher William Blank has developed a menu of dishes that ‘capture the nostalgia of British classics’ such as salt beef sandwiches, croquettes, triple-cooked chips and oysters.

A breakfast menu will be available from morning until noon, using locally-produced artisanal pastries and Dead Good coffee.

The space is described as warm and cosy with ‘dark undertones and curved lines’. Design details include hand-upholstered dark-green leather curved banquettes; a Calacatta marble-topped bar; and a fully-retractable facade that will open up onto the street during the summer months.

The Venning brothers also run neighbourhood cocktail bar and restaurant Little Mercies in Crouch End.
