The Little Violet Door is opening in Soho

Located on Soho's Kingly Street The Little Violet Door will be the group’s second central London site, joining The Little Scarlet Door in Soho as well as its neighbourhood locations The Little Yellow Door in Notting Hill, The Little Blue Door in Fulham, and The Little Orange Door in Clapham.

The 3,400sq ft site was formerly home to music venue Bag O’ Nails and will be spread over two floors with additional terrace seating out front. It will have capacity for 180 people.

As with the other group's other sites, it will take the form of a fictional flat with each area designed to transport guests to a real-life home with colourful soft furnishings, prints, bookcases and record collections.

Additional touches pay homage to the birthplace of Swinging London in the 1960s with references to both music and fashion throughout the 70s and 80s.

The ground floor will house a relaxed sitting room and a vinyl bar, while downstairs has been designed with flat parties in mind. At the very heart of venue is the kitchen disco, where DJs will perform straight from the kitchen counter from Wednesday through to Saturday.

Additional lower ground floor rooms will include a living room, laundry room and a games room complete with retro video game consoles and cocktail bar. 

Unlike its sister sites, The Little Violet Door will trade from noon daily seven days a week and will serve a food a menu of sharing dishes including tacos and mezze boards as well as a bottomless brunch at the weekend.

“Following the success of The Little Scarlet Door, our ambition has always been to grow our footprint in central London. From hosting our first pop-up ten years ago, our fifth site is a real milestone," says co-founder and director Kamran Dehdashti. 

Once open, the group will pass over 150 employees and will be on course to deliver a turnover of £12m for 2024.
