Royal Wedding at Copthorne Hotel and anniversary celebrations at Cinnamon Club
A(nother) Royal Wedding
Copthorne Hotel Merry-Hill Dudley, part of the Millenium Hotels group, is giving away a wedding package to one lucky couple to get hitched on the same day as Prince William and Kate Middleton - 29 April. The package includes a civil ceremony at the hotel, reception drinks for up to 40 guests, an evening buffet for 80 guests, a complimentary hotel suite for the bride and groom, a wedding dress from Debenhams Merry Hill plus money off a host of additional items. To enter couples must submit a written statement explaining why they should win by 25 February.
Anniversary lottery
The Cinnamon Club in Westminster is inviting guests to become a part of its 10th anniversary celebrations on 21 March by attending a special dinner. All places for the ten-course tasting menu, devised by executive chef Vivek Singh and featuring the restaurant’s signature dishes, will be allocated to registered guests via a lottery system. For a chance to ‘win’ a place at the dinner, diners will need to register on the Cinnamon Club’s website.
Traditional Sunday lunch?
Blacks in Soho is continuing its run of Sunday lunches created by special guests with a Mexican menu by Tom Parker Bowles. Bowles will create a menu of regional Mexican dishes such as Cochinita Pibil, a traditional slow-roasted pork dish from the Yucatán Península, together with Spicy Birrias, Ceviches and Salsas. Previous special guests include Bill Knott and Rose Prince. Lunch is priced at £35 per head.
Taittinger Tuesdays
Every Tuesday, Hush in Mayfair will be giving away a bottle of Taittinger Brut NV to bookings of four or more though the bookings system on its website. Half a bottle will also be given away to tables of two that also book through the website.
