Nick Deverell-Smith, head chef, Village East
New York-style brasserie and cocktail bar Village East has appointed Nick Deverell-Smith as head chef.
Deverell-Smith was shortlisted to the final three in the Gordon Ramsay scholarship scheme, and has also worked at the two-Michelin starred The Capital Hotel in Knightsbridge and The Soho House Group’s flagship venue Soho House.
In his new role, Deverell-Simth has designed his own menu,to focus on simple, seasonal dishes. Village East is the second opening for The Village London trio sitting alongside gastropub The Garrison and recently opened The Riding House Café.
