The Collection lounge bar in Chelsea has launched a new restaurant, Kitchen 264, headed up by Israeli executive chef Oded Oren offering a modern Mediterranean menu.

The restaurant launch comes on the back of a full refurb for the Brompton Road venue last year helmed by the award-winning designer Tom Dixon.

Oren, described as 'one of Israel’s most talented and sought-after chefs' has moved to the UK from his role as head chef of Turkiz, a sefood restaurant in Tel Aziz. The chef has helped create the menu and will also be taking charge of the kitchen on a daily basis.

Destination

Natalie Ivesha, director of Kitchen 264 said the new restaurant was the next stage in developing the lounge bar following the refurb last year.

"The response to our redesign last year was overwhelmingly positive, so launching a new restaurant was the logical next step. We are thrilled to have secured Oded, whose creative and original cooking will make Kitchen 264 a destination in its own right," she said.

Kitchen 264 is located on a mezzanine level in The Collection and features the same new design as the rest of the lounge bar. Dixon's design features leather and velvet banquette seating, metallic lighting and scorched wood and exposed brickwork walls.

Modern Mediterranean

The menu described as 'modern Mediterranean' features daily changing specials alongside an à la carte offering as well as a weekend brunch menu. Sharing small plate appetizers such as octopus salad are available alongside starters and mains including grouper ceviche with avocado, citrus and soft herbs and grilled lemon marinated poussin with sauce vierge.

The restaurant menu also features the addition of the signature cocktails and full wine list already available in The Collection, which also features a 'pop-up' retail space and is currently open seven days a week.
