Meantime Brewing Company is bringing back its first ever beer, the Union Lager, as a limited edition seasonal brew.

Product details:

Union Lager is inspired by a classic Viennese lager and boasts a full malt flavour. The lager is 4.9% ABV and is robust enough to hold its own against spicy foods, providing a well-rounded mouthfeel to even the strongest dish.

USP:

The company first produced the Union in 2000. Brewed using only a range of roasted malts, it is deep copper in colour with a light malt undertone and bready, caramel flavours, alongside a balanced hop bitterness.

The lager was brought back for a month last July after a campaign by The Greenwich Union pub, and Meantime is now bringing it back as an official limited edition beer available while stocks last.

Why should you buy it?

Alastair Hook, master brewer at Meantime Brewing said: “Union Lager was the beer that launched Meantime, and it’s great to know that it’s still as popular now as it was fourteen years ago.

“Slow fermented and cold-matured over a lengthy period of time to ensure perfect balance and natural carbonation, the Union Lager offers caramel flavours on both the nose and palate.

“With a warming, yet refreshing flavour, we think this is the ideal choice for offering customers a brew that will take them through the darker winter months and out in to spring.”
