Duende
From chef-patron Victor Garvey of Bravas Tapas, this Spanish restaurant has launched on London’s Maiden Lane near Covent Garden and the theatre district. Its title translates as “imp” or “sprite”, and also means “charm” or “mischief”, which is reflected in the site’s playful Spanish-inspired dishes such as pancetta-wrapped quail with Pedro Ximenez jus, and fried oyster with Riofrio caviar. Initially only open for dinner, it will soon open for lunchtime services too and will look to capture the pre-and post-theatre crowd.
