Honest Burgers is to convert its all-vegan V Honest site close to London's Leicester Square back to its core concept in July, just six months after launching the spin-off brand.

In an email to customers, the group said it was turning the Garrick Street restaurant back to a classic Honest Burgers restaurant next month in order to offer 'a broader range of Honest classics as well as your vegetarian and vegan favourites'.

“Honest Burgers Leicester Square will - as usual - feature our classic Honest beef, chicken, veggie and vegan burgers plus a few of our V Honest favourites will be staying on the menu, and as always they'll be served with rosemary salted chips,” the email said.

“Stay tuned for dates to get your last orders in and we'll let you know what vegan favourites are staying on the menu soon.”

V Honest took over the brand’s existing bricks-and-mortar site on Garrick Street back in January with a promise to combine ‘the key tenets of classic Honest Burgers’ with ‘an innovative, completely new menu of plant-based burgers, sauces and sides’.

The menu combined vegan takes on Honest classic burgers including the Honest and Tribute burger, alongside new serves including the Buffalo, the Teriyaki, and the Pesto.

Honest Burgers was among the first of the major burger brands to create a well-thought out and ambitious vegan offering, and at the time of V Honest's launch, co-founder Tom Barton said having a dedicated vegan restaurant would be the best way to put more plant-based burgers on the menu.

“V Honest is that home and it gives us the chance to spend even more time developing brand new burgers, collaborations and showcasing some of the best vegan food in the country,” he said.
