Boparan Restaurant Group (BRG) is continuing its push into retail, this time through its Indian restaurant group The Cinnamon Collection.

The restaurant brand, whose founder and executive chef is Vivek Singh, has entered into an exclusive partnership with supermarket chain Tesco to launch a debut retail range of chilled Indian ready meals under its modern Indian restaurant brand Cinnamon Kitchen.

The 16-strong restaurant-inspired range features four categories - mains, centrepieces, tiffins and sides, with mains including the restaurant’s signature butter chicken; cauliflower makhana; lamb rogan josh; and king prawn moilee.

Centrepiece dishes, meanwhile, include tandoori chicken with gunpowder potatoes; kerala spiced beef with roti flatbreads; and chicken and chips; with sides such as black dahl; lemon and turmeric rice, Bombay aloo; and saag aloo.

Tiffin boxes come in three options - cauliflower makhani, turmeric and lemon rice, and saag aloo; chicken korma, turmeric and lemon rice, saag aloo; and butter chicken, turmeric and lemon rice, and Bombay aloo.

Dishes range from £6.50 for mains and £12 for centrepieces and £7 for tiffin boxes with sides priced at £3.

“We are thrilled to be launching our brand new fresh range from Cinnamon Kitchen, allowing us to bring popular dishes from our well-loved London restaurants into homes across the country,” says Singh.

“As the cost of living continues to rise, we hope our customers will find this range an accessible option for enjoying restaurant quality food at home.”

The full range can be found at 450 Tesco stores across the UK.
