Glasgow-based pair Joe Lazzerini and Amalia Colaluca will launch a follow-up to their The Loveable Rogue gastropub later this year.

The Loveable Rogue East End will be located on the former Beat 6 on Whitehill Street in Dennistoun in the city’s East End.

The 35-cover site is billed as a neighbourhood restaurant and will offer breakfast and brunch, an evening small plates menu and Sunday roasts.

As with the pair’s original The Loveable Rogue - which launched in Glasgow’s West End in 2020 - the menu will be largely made up of twists on ‘family favourites and traditional recipes’ including lobster mac’n’cheese; chicken Kyiv with curried cauliflower; Scotch egg with chorizo, pork with black pudding; and chicken and mushroom pie.

The interior is described as homey and earthy, with a mix of exposed brick and beams, comfy furnishings, and 'the welcome sight of an open kitchen for all to view'.

“We will offer hearty, unfussy and delicious food that everyone can tuck into," says Lazzerini, who oversees the menu. "New to our East End location will be a varied daily menu of classic breakfast and brunch dishes alongside Rogue’s heartier fare as well as introducing our signature Sunday roast to the neighbourhood - served all day every Sunday.

Colaluca added: “By combining our focus on comfort food and friendly neighbourhood service, The Loveable Rogue East will create a cosy dining environment that is dynamic yet relaxed. The East End of Glasgow, known for its friendly community spirit and independent businesses, is the ideal location for our second location”.
