Bibimbap to open second Scottish site in Edinburgh

Opening on Hanover Street in Edinburgh, the 20-cover restaurant will be located on the site of the former Pakora Bar.

It will serve a menu of street food dishes inspired by the culture of Seoul including kimchi; deopbap; corn dogs; Yum Yum fried chicken; soup; and noodles, in addition to the eponymous bibimbap dish of warm white rice topped with vegetables and chilli pepper paste, soy sauce, or fermented soybean paste.

Main menu dishes include yache - broccoli, onions, mushrooms, beansprout and pak choi; beef udon; Korean style sweet and sour prawns; teok-bokki - stir-fried fish and rice cake with a sweet and spicy sauce; and jeyuk bokkeum - spicy marinated pork.

“Foodies in Edinburgh can now tuck into our extensive menu, which includes a variety of traditional and modern Korean dishes and enjoy tastes of downtown Seoul in a vibrant, colourful venue that plays homage to K-Culture”.

The original Bibimbap opened on West Nile Street in Glasgow in March 2018.
