Mondo Beer + Pizza has chosen London’s Borough Yards for the opening its first bricks and mortar venue.

The new restaurant is a collaboration between Mondo Brewing Company and pizzeria Joe Public and will serve 16 craft beers sourced from nearby Battersea as well as Joe Public’s California style sourdough pizzas. Also on the menu will be an ice cream infused with Mondo’s 11.5% Candy Candy beer, created in partnership with boutique ice cream brand Vagabond, as well as a selection of wines, spirits and soft drinks.

“Served by a steady flow of tourists, office workers and Londoners alike, Borough Yards was a natural choice for our first bricks and mortar restaurant and tank-bar in collab with Joe Public pizza,” says Todd Matteson, co-founder at Mondo Brewing Company.

“We particularly appreciated the like-minded, small business mentality of our neighbouring restaurants, bars and stores. We look forward to being part of the Borough Yards’ community and using this collaboration to bring the Mondo brand to a wider audience.”

The 924sq ft space will serve beers from six copper tanks hanging from the ceiling, with interiors designed to match Borough Yards’ medieval-inspired architectural style and the artwork and colours of the Mondo brand.

It follows the opening of Alain Ducasse’s first London store in Borough Yards in November 2022.
