Ottolenghi will open its sixth deli and restaurant, in Hampstead, later this year.

The new site will have the largest terrace to date with 26 covers and will be open seven days a week.

It will serve coffee, pastries and hot breakfast in the morning with its lunch offer being its signature Ottolenghi salads, and for á la carte dinner with cocktails.

It will be the group’s sixth London deli and restaurant, alongside restaurants NOPI and ROVI and will open on  Rosslyn Hill in mid-December. Other Ottolenghi sites are in Spitalfields, Islington, Notting Hill, Chelsea and Marylebone.

The deal was facilitated by property agent Shelley Sandzer.

Last year the company appointed Emilio Foa, who had previously held senior roles at fashion brands Rapha and Burberry, as group CEO as it prepared to celebrate 20 years in business.

The Italian is confident about the growth of the brand both in the UK and globally and told Restaurant in an interview last year that he was exploring different markets. “International can be big," he said. "The Ottolenghi brand has the potential to go across all continents."

More recently, Michael Farquhar, formerly operations director at D&D London, joined the group as its chief operating officer.
