Fried chicken brand Sides will open its first standalone restaurant outside of London this month in Manchester.

The brand, created by YouTube collective The Sidemen, is opening a 1,222sq ft site at Manchester’s Arndale this month.

The opening will mark the brand's push outside of the capital and will be followed by venues in Merry Hill in Birmingham and Bluewater in Kent.

In August this year Sides revealed plans to open 10 physical restaurants across the UK this year and recently opened a standalone restaurant in Dalston, east London.

It also operates sites at Boxpark’s Croydon and Wembley locations, Gravity Wandsworth and Market Place Harrow and numerous delivery kitchens nationwide.

Sides launched in 2021 as part of Virtual Hero Group, a subsidiary of Hero Brands and serves a menu that includes signature wings, burgers and tenders, with options including a loaded waffle fries, chili poppers, and mac and cheese bites.

Sides’ long-term goal is to operate out of 200 locations in the UK over the next decade and says that more restaurants will be launching in shopping centres and high streets across the UK.
